Is (the OTL) Edward II really your main male character here? Longshanks has by far the better historical reputation, after all, and he's going to be ruling for years after the PoD...

I have the tendency to have main het couples. So the woman is the main female character and the man is the main male character. Everything else happens because of them being together.
